| Answer: | SupportLink is a joint initiative of the Ontario Government, Rogers AT&T Wireless and Ericcson Canada. The program provides victims at risk from domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking/criminal harassment with intensive and comprehensive personal safety planning, as well as free airtime and wireless phones, pre-programmed to dial 911 in the event of a personal safety emergency. |

| Question #3 | Who are Volunteer Crisis Responders? |
| Answer: | PNVS volunteer Crisis Responders are recruited from within the bi-county communities. They are dedicated responders whose focus is helping assist victims with their practical needs. Our Crisis Responders are from all age groups, walks of life and cohesively work together as a team.
Accredited Crisis Responders have completed over 50 hours of training comprised of minimum standards as set out by the Ministry of the Attorney General, enhanced minimum standards, demographic specific training, and group crisis intervention training.

| Question #4 | How do I become a Volunteer Crisis Responder? |
| Answer: | To volunteer, you must meet these basic requirements:
- Be at least 19 years old
- Consent to a background check
- Swear an Oath of Confidentiality
- Commit to 50+ hours of training
- Pass a written examination with no less than 75%
- Commit to two 12 hour shifts monthly
- Commit to monthly ongoing training meetings |
